ZOOM AGM 2021
We are sad to announce that following the release of the Government Lockdown exit plan we are cancelling this year’s physical AGM Meeting. Under the recently announced regulations gatherings of more than 30 people will not be possible.
In addition, difficulties with the availability of catering and accommodation have contributed to this decision.
A virtual AGM will be held this year on 8th May 2021 at 15:00 live on Zoom. Members will be required to register and will receive a link and instructions for joining the meeting. This should be placed on the Virtual AGM page in due course.
Members will be able to vote for the resolutions and question the Committee. We look forward to you joining us, we will need 25 attendees to form a quorum. Please see Details of 5th AGM document which was published with Narrow Gauge News and a new Interactive voting form. They are also available from the Downloads page.
Note: In order to use the Interactive voting form it must be downloaded to your machine and opened in Adobe Acrobat Reader (It will not work properly in a read only/ preview in your browser). When you have completed the form, press Submit, the system will generate an email addressed to me, it will ask for your permission first. You are free to edit the email before sending, including the “from” Field if you do not want to use your default account. It may also be printed if you prefer to do things manually.
NGRS Visits ( www.ngrs.org/visits )
Our Visits programme is currently dependent upon both Government restrictions, and those hosting our visits.
The Visits Page will provide further details, as visits are arranged
To clarify the legal position of members and the public making visits to railway sites or our library, you are advised to read
our Visits Policy thoroughly. This is also available from the Downloads page
A recent change is that NGRS visits are members-only and open solely to people who are full, e-, Associate or Visits and e-NGN members. An application for various levels of membership can be made via the Membership page
Your Personal Details:
MemberMojo link, also available via the 'Membership' page on the left, will allow you to check and amend your details. The Data Protection Act, as it affects the NGRS, can be found on the same page and will be updated before May 25th 2018.

The latest guide (Mar 2019) is still available as a PDF file
LIBRARY LIST & SEARCH TOOL:
Over the last few years, the Society has enjoyed considerable growth in our library collection and resources, and it continues to grow !! This expansion meant that a printed Library list would be expensive to produce, and be difficult to keep up to date for members. We have therefore trialled an on-line catalogue. Following feedback from members, it was felt that an easier way to search was required, rather than the multi-tab spreadsheet format offered.
Members will find a simple LIBRARY SEARCH tool in the Library section of this website which will open in a new window. Alongside this, members will still be able to download a copy of the library list spreadsheet for their own use at home.
Should any members require a printed list, or have any particular requirements please feel free to contact
the Society librarian by email or by post.
For it's rarity and for interest, we have retained a link here to a video Running on Air taken at Lea Bailey Mine on 10th May, the AGM Weekend of 2015 in the Forest of Dean
